It really has been a while since I last posted here on my blog. I hope all of you have been well. Let us just dive in to this new post. I went to a stationery bazaar/event back in July and would love to share with all of you some of the photos I took while I was there. This is going to be more of a visual post and less writing.
I received my long awaited order of my Chamil Garden stamps and its safe to say – they are absolutely gorgeous! If you came over to this post from my YouTube video, I hope you enjoy the more close up shots of the stamps.
Her work is absolutely breathtaking. She now has 2 volumes of stamp designs that are mass produced but from time to time, she announces new releases of limited edition stamps. They get sold out fast, so make sure to be quick!
It’s amazing to see your friends succeeding and making their dreams come true! I would like to wish a big congratulations to the lovely couple on the opening of their first brick-and-mortar store in Seremban.
I can’t even remember when I started purchasing Traveler’s Notebook related items from Tabiyo. If you are not familiar with Tabiyo, they have been running an e-store selling beautifully curated stationery from brands like Traveler’s Company, Midori, Tosawashi, Maste & Classiky to name a few.
So, finally the lovely owners of Tabiyo announced the opening of Tabiyo Store in Seremban on the 9th of October! Since the store was in Seremban, I decided to make it a short stay there to also explore this town with the help of this guide map by Tabiyo.
I was really excited to visit Tabiyo Shop and to also meet up with a lot of my stationery loving friends! Here’s some photos I took at the opening.
Hello! I’m back with the tutorial on how to create your very own collage style stamped stickers that I promised. Many of you have been asking me on Instagram how I made those stickers (you can view them here or here). Many have also tried making their own and tagged me in their beautiful creations! Thank you 🙂 For those who are still uncertain on how they are made, I hope you find this tutorial useful.
Wow! Can’t believe how fast a month has just flown by. We are now into the 2nd month of the year! Can you believe it? Chinese New Year is also just around the corner and my family and I are busy preparing lots of cookies, cleaning the house and all sorts of things for yet another festive season. I can’t wait for lots of catching up with family and friends and also all the ang pao’s (red packets) that i’ll be getting. HAHAHAHA. More money to buy stationery? Maybe.
Well then, let’s get on to my January Favourites shall we? Since my blog is essentially about stationery, my favourites are gonna be stationery related. So, here’s what I have been loving in January. Continue reading “January Favourites”→
Hello and a Happy New Year! How was your new years celebrations? Hope you had lots of fun with family and friends. To start off the new year, I thought I’d show you around another one of my favourite stationery / journaling supplies stores here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I get asked on Instagram very often where I buy my supplies, this shop is definitely one of them! Warning: Lots of CAT photos!
Before 2015 ends, I wanted to write this post. 2015 has been filled with so many ups and downs for me. No matter what it is, I am thankful for everything – the good and the bad.
I feel like i’ve learned a lot this year.. I’ve learned that there will be things that will go wrong and sometimes don’t always get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. I learned that things sometimes don’t turn out the way you planned, or the way you think they should happen. I’ve learned that some broken things stay broken, and I’ve learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones, as long as you have people who love you.
I guess hard times are good in their own way, too. Because I think its the only way you can achieve true happiness is if you experience true sadness as well. Sometimes you just have to go through the bad stuff to really truly appreciate the good times.
So here are some of the moments in 2015 that I want to mention.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy Holidays everyone! I hope all of you had a wonderful celebration with your family and friends. I surely enjoyed my family christmas celebration. Now that we’re done with all the Christmas festivities, the countdown to the New Year begins!
I wanted to show you this planner that Mossery so kindly sent to me. Now I am all set for 2016! Sad to say that they now have stopped taking in orders for their planners already. But I thought i’d show it to you. It was a very simple 4 step process to get my very own customised planner.
Last weekend, mum and I baked 2 cakes; marble and an orange poppy seed cake! We also have so much baking together and it’s always exciting to see how the cakes turn out in the end. Baking is another thing I love doing besides my craze for stationery. It turned out so lovely! What are your other hobbies?
Now, moving on, I thought I would do a look back on some of the previous inserts I have finished up over the past year or so. I love looking at other people’s Traveler’s Notebook and I get a lot inspiration from them. It’s interesting to see how other’s use it on the daily – whether it is for journaling, note taking, planning or sketching. I do think over the past year, my style has slowly evolved and every time I do a page spread, it’s more like trial and error. Sometimes I really love it and sometimes….not so much.
